Hi all,
I'm installing solid core half glazed double doors in my lounge, they are 610mm wide (11mm lipping all round) and i need to come down to 584mm per door, inclusive of the 10mm pair maker I have to attach on one door.
Not sure what my best approach is here. I was thinking I could take 20mm off the hinge side and 6mm off the handle side to leave the exposed handle side with the nicer finish. I could reattach the lipping to the hinge side, but obviously I'd need to take 31mm of that side in the first instance to account for the lipping going back on. That would mean I'm taking uneven amounts off both sides but I don't know if it's a big issue?
For the door with the pair maker, I can take off either side as it'll be the finished pair makers that's exposed.
Any pointers, or different methods how to go about it would be much appreciated!
Cheers
