I have put up coving and papered the ceiling and walls. I caulked the joints between the coving and ceiling/wallpaper and I have just finished painting the ceiling and coving white.

I have painted the joint between the coving and the wall white and also painted onto a couple of inches of the wallpaper.

I am planning to cut in with the wall colour up to the coving, the colour is cotton white so not much different but will I get any problems with my white from the coving showing through?

Assuming you're going to cut in twice, I can't imagine you'd have any problems.

Yup, exactly.

When I painted our coving, I was also heavy on the white and covered the wall in a good inch or so; there were no issues with a couple of coats of wall emulsion when cutting in. White is, thankfully, the easiest of colours to cover.

That's what I was thinking! I will cut in twice depending on how the first coat dries. If I get a really good edge I'll just stay a tiny bit away from it second time around.
