Hi all, if anybody uses this particular cylinder can you help?
I have an OSO Hotwater Indirect Cylinder 250, Non Vented with two Electric Boxes, the upper has a "Thermostat Boiler" & the lower one an "Immertion Heater Thermostat" both set at 60.
1. Should these be at 60 for summer & winter, or changed accordingly?.
2. Also its very small book shows it as a "Y Plan" system, what is this?
3. What is the "Mid Position Valve" for?
4. How can I check if the plumber who worked recently on the CH did indeed put in Fernox or similar protection?
As our bungalow is split in two, this boiler/cylinder sysem serves both.
The pressure on the gauge by the cylinder must be kept at around 1 bar manually by opening two valves.
I have a "Dry Test kit" press. gauge, can I fit it on my side to monitor the pressure daily & only go the other side to ajust it when it gets low?.
Is it possible to do it without draining the system to tee it in the pipes?, say from a rad drain valve?
Thanx nick
