Love the cover which was situated inside a wardrobe. No tool at all required to open

Did you have to insert a card as you entered the room to power up the grey unit? I can't make it out very well - are the door switch wires too short and have extensions on them just wrapping the wires together?
Looks as tho originally there was a shroud which covered everything by means of the 4 pillars, possibly before it has been updated with these MCBs.

Yes, door card for access to the room and also a reader inside the room to switch the grey power unit which in turn applies a feed to final circuits.
The cables are too short and have indeed been twisted together to extend them.

It looks like the fuseboard I came across recently in a block of flats built by an Italian. It took me a while to figure out the board! The neutrals and earths were all connected togther in another 'hatch' next to the fuse board - connections made using ceramic twist on dome thingys (can't remember the name for them) - not sure what they were rated at current wise!

Also the main switch was an rcd rated at 20A, so you couldn't have too many appliances on at the same time - apparently everyone in the block had the same problem!

Screwit!

No other hatch or obvious place for the neutral and earth terminations.
I can only guess it's behind the wardrobe end panel. At least they made a cutout for the consumer unit!

This DB is in a villa in Turkey. I now wish I'd taken the cover off! There were two more of similar size, one on each floor.

They sure like a radial.

....I think we should all get a life
