NH lime is the right stuff.
Best practice and traditionally, the joist tails were seated on the DPC and the air bricks were set in the bay between the joist tails.
The DPC was (& still is) supposed to be 150mm above ground level.
If your air bricks are simply venting the front room then remove them, and install three a/b's between your joist tails - that way you will be able to vent under the suspended floor.
You should be through venting from front elevation to back elevation for best affect.
