Outlook problem, weird

Hi,

I have a really weird problem with Outlook 2003.

Having loaded the disk on (pukka disk no problems there) and set the email account up all works well until i shut outlook and go to open it again.

It comes up with the fatal error box, which then disappears by itself, the next time i try to open Outlook it works ok, then error again and so on.

The laptop is an Acer 5735Z with Vista home edition, the machine is new.

I tried removing Office 2003 and re-loading, but no different.

Any thoughts ?

Also, on another matter a colleague has Office 2000 on a laptop and would like 2003 putting on, will his email history/tasks/calender etc remain in place when 2003 is loaded?

Have you downloaded and installed the service packs for 2003?

Yes, the upgrade to 2003 will migrate the 2000 settings.
