First of all, apologies for the subject - sure you all groaned at that, but have had a good look across the Interweb and (surprisingly) can't find an answer..

I currently have a single bulkhead lamp, which I'd like to replace with (and add 3 further) external halogen spots. The current lamp is mounted about 18" below the flat roof of a single storey extension, and is fed from inside. Current bulb is 100w, replacements will 20w apiece.

My main question is how do I go about extending this circuit? My initial thoughts are conduit around the fascia then a drop (also conduit?) to each fitting, but I think the drops would look awkward. The whole extension is rendered, and I have no problem chasing the walls to bury the cable - is this acceptable? Would be using 1.5mm arctic with any solution, as have lots knocking about.

Any thoughts gratefully received..

Cheers,

Paul

cable must have mechanical protection if burried in a wall, also no one would expect it to run horizontal
