Hi

Before I start I'm a real novice at plumbing so bear with me please :)

I've purchased an outside tap and a sort of 'L' bracket for it to fit on to (15mm speed fit to 1/2" tap connector). I've also got the old bracket which was leaking but all the plumbing was ripped out and redone with a feed left in for this, and I thought I'd give it a go!

My problem is probably simple but whenever I fit the tap to the connector (either one) it's upside down. So it's as if the 15mm feed is supposed to come from above for the tap to face down. Where our feed comes through it's preferable to run up in to the fitting. It wont tighten any more, I'm stuck, any help would be appreciated! Thanks

Wrap plenty of ptfe around the tap thread, when it starts getting tight ony turn to the position you want and no further.
