want to put in outside tap - what size drill should I use for 15mm pipe work and what size/type of casing to put pipe through - also what is best product to seal hole afterwards
16mm is enough for 15mm tubing, but sometimes I drill a 23/24mm hole and sleeve the 15mm tube in a short length of 22mm Hep2o pipe.mikeyboy2 said:want to put in outside tap - what size drill should I use for 15mm pipe work and what size/type of casing to put pipe through - also what is best product to seal hole afterwards
Do you consider your opinion to be the definitive one on the topic, and that nobody else should be allowed to contribute?Bamber gaspipe said:The post has already been answered........yesterday..
Oh - did I not read your multiple posts properly? Did I miss the bit where you suggested a backplate combined with a copper tail?Bamber gaspipe said:What did you contribute other than what had already been put forward
You may.while we are at it, may I ask your trade...

BTW, not sealing a water pipe where it enters an outside wall is asking for trouble, and therefore very poor advice.

No.Bamber gaspipe said:Did I suggest a backplate combined with a copper tail?
Show you what? The Edit button? The Spell Check button? The error of your ways? Please be specific..... show me..
What has that got to do with anything?and what is your trade...
As you wish - enters, exits, who gives a sh*t - the principle is the same, and you're either stupid or deliberately misunderstanding, but neither is important as long as mikeyboy2 understood me.A water pipe does not enter an outside wall... it exits
If you read the topic you'll see that mikeyboy2 asked what type of casing to use. I didn't say that you, or indeed anyone, needed to sleeve it, I simply answered his question (with an answer, not another question). Why would I need to sleeve a waterpipe thru a wall?
No - I'm ignoring your question; there's a difference.Bamber gaspipe said:You are skirting the issue
No....please tell me your trade...
You can threaten me all you like; it doesn't make on iota of a difference to anyone or anything.or I will make this a `General Topic`issue..
I have the right, as a forum member, to post. You, along with everyone else, have the right to ignore my posts....questioning your right once & for all as to wether you should be giving advice on the way that people install their Central Heating
Once again, your pathetic attempt to insult me is empty of all substance and meaning.....are you frightened Mr. D.I.Y.er![]()
