Oven door refitting: hinge problem

Refitting a Baumatic oven door, after removal for cleaning.
I started off refitting with both hinges extended in a J-shape (correct).
Some thing went wrong in refitting, so I removed the door. But now I have one hinge extended in a J-shape, and one hinge folded into the door.
No amount of prising with pliers or screwdriver will unfold the locked-in hinge.
Any ideas?

Solution was to get a pair of pliers and pull upwards -- hard. The hinge is retracted into the body of the door by a very strong spring. Pull hard to start the hinge unfolding, then slip the catch across, as shown in the Baumatic manual.
