Hello all,

my oven recently packed up and I went online to see what the issue could be. So I ordered a new replacement element after typing in my oven product Number. When the new element arrived it had a different connection my old one has 2 single spades and the new one has 2 double shades. I tried to connect it to one of the sides of each but when I tested it, it tripped the fuse switch, I tried this twice.

Is there a way to make this element work, I’m trying to avoid ordering a new oven.

thanks

If you have put one wire on each side and not two together it should work, unless your replacement element wasn't a genuine or equivalent quality.
Ideally the replacement element should come in a sealed bag otherwise they absorb moisture and trip straight away.
