Looking for a smarter way to manage your heating this winter? We’ve been testing the new Aqara Radiator Thermostat W600 to see how quiet, accurate and easy it is to use around the home. Click here read our review.
One of my two grill elements in my oven no longer heat up, getting replacement part isn't a problem, but I was just wondering if it could be something else other than the element and is a novice able to carryout the work or is it best left to an expert.
Check for resistance across the element. If it is open circuit, the element is duff.
You could also check for 240v (usually, unless elements are in series...but then more than one would fail...) at the element terminals in the rear casing. This involves working with live terminals, and with the rear cover removed, so probably not a job for a novice DIY'er.
