Hi all new to the site and as always as a newbie
i have a question (need help)

i have an indesit oven/grill and was using the grill
tonight when i had finished switched to the oven and
the house fuse box tripped out. So rest the fuse box
and nothing happened. Next swapped the fuse in the
plug for the oven/grill. With this done the clock came
on, so switched the oven on and it tripped out again!

Now can anyone help shed some light on this,
is it the oven elements or something else i have
missed, any help would be great cheers.

What exactly 'tripped out'. Was it a contact breaker marked 'cooker' - and what markings does it have.
Or was it something with RCD written on it?

More info = more help

it was the RCD breaker on the main household
fuseboard marked with a little cooker sticker
under it.

sorry thats all i can say about it, have swapped
the 13amp fuse in the plug aswell.

If it is an RCD that is tripping it indicates a fault to earth when the oven/grill is being used.

Are you really sure an RCD and not an MCB? Its unusual to have a dedicated RCD for a cooker.
Please check and state exactly what is written on the device that is tripping, I mean the actual device itelsf (not the label under it).
