Im in the pocess of edoing my kitchen but want to make sure Ive got my applience wiring correct before I board.
We want to fit two double ovens and a built in electric hob, I think I have two options here (weve not bought any appliences yet), Can I run a 10 mm cable from db to kitchen then feed each item through its own kitchen point ?, would 10mm do this task and what size breaker would I need.
My other option which would be a bit harder as I would have to hide db and would probably be a better set up but cant think where to house, could I run 10mm cable from main house db to a small 3 o 4 way db to do cooking appliences only putting each item on its own breaker in kitchen db ?, if so would 10 mm cable do it to feed kitchen db, what size breaker would I need in main board and would I get away with running 6mm cable fom kitchen db to each cooking applience ?
please remember that we have not bought any oven or hobs yet so I would rather go on the large size for cables but not too large (dont want to put 85s in for oven), microwaves, fridges etc will run on existing kitchen ring that is powered fom main db.
thanks
Mark
