Hi, I have some decorators in and a job they quoted for as 4 weeks has now gone to 6 weeks. They are now asking for a few more days but i don't have the time - they seem unconcerned about my personal schedule. What can i do?

Can I pay them but deduct some for unfinished work?

Is it reasonable to ask them to come back in a few weeks time to finish, on my schedule before paying them?

Grateful for any thoughts!

Depends if its a Quote, they would have to stick by the original price, unforeseen problems may have delayed them so I cannot see how you can deduct from the original price,
However if the job was accepted on an estimate that could give room for both parties to negotiate
Being amicable is the best way forward
