Hi
2 years ago had new boiler and pipework green star 30i
Overflow type pipe was connected to plumbing.
Just had a shower installed running off boiler and bath and electric shower removed.
builder had to remove rad for better space to work.
Rad put back on ( modern 2 column)
I bled it and topped up boiler within green on gauge.
Ok
Overflow pipe ( as I call it from boiler )
Releases some water when system kicks in. Possibly after being off all night.
Builder hadn’t connected back into plumbing. Will be looking to place pipe to outside through wall.
Ok. A few questions.

Can a rad be put on wrong way around or doesn’t it matter with trv?
could I have put too much water in the system even though it was in the green on the gauge?

reason for above I guess is, should this water that comes out normal?

Thanks
Nick

Certain types of " designer" rads can be plumbed in incorrectly.
Is the " overflow" pipe from boiler plastic ,if so it is the condensate pipework. If it is copper ,it's it's the pressure relief pipework. Which is it ???? Sounds like condensate ,normal when boiler is operating for water to be evacuated to waste.

As it is part of the boiler you should engage a Gas safe engineer to do the necessary work.
