The Overflow Pipe in our Cold Water Cistern (in the loft) is continuously leaking. Do you suggest completely replacing the ballvalve assembly, or is there a quicker fix I can do? Sorry i'm not specific enough, but it's a 50 Galllon Round tank and I haven't had a look inside yet.

Check flow is cutting off 2 ins below overflow level first.
If ok, replace the washer or just renew the whole ballvalve.
