That pipe may be the pressure relief pipe from the boiler ,but it may not be. Is your boiler losing pressure and needs topping up daily / weekly ?

When boiler and central heating is cold 1 bar is fine. If that pipe In your pic is actually the prv pipework ,and it drips constantly ,I would expect you would be topping up pressure every few days. So I am of the view that it may not be. Do you also have a white plastic pipe outside that is connected to boiler condensate ,this will drible water out when boiler is running and is normal.

hi
no other plastic pipe running out only the downpipe for my guttering, no other water taps on or toilet cistons on that i can hear

The condensate pipework is likely to be connected internally to your house waste plumbing in that case. And the copper pipe in pic is the prv pipework. It could well be the prv is letting water out very slowly ,when it shouldn't be letting any out. Replacement required most likely.

ok terry
Would that be near the actual tank or is it something i would have to lift the floor?, the tank is a biggun and easy to access,,,,,,,,,,just info i would pass on to my british gas boiler mate ( when he gets the time ) :-)

Just leave it to your engineer ,he will know what's what once he sees for himself. You may well have more than one PRv ,if your hot water tank is unvented for instance. There's no substitute for being on site .
