Please advise,
I have just had a problem with a Reliance TMV on my UFH. (I changed the valve and the replacement is defective but that's another story)
I noticed the problem when the boiler was heating DHW (80*) and the temp at the UFH manifold, after the TMV was 70+
The boiler normally runs the CH at around 55* so this could have been an issue for some time and I haven't noticed it.
I installed overheat protection on the return water manifold, set at around 50* wired to stop the pump in this situation but the boiler pump is able to move the water into the manifold and behond.
Is there a better way of protecting the floor? would switching the motorized valve work?
Any thoughts?
Thanks
Cully
