Hi folks

I stored matt emulsion paint in the garage over the winter.

Now it is odd. Stirring helps it a bit (as if all the molecules are lining up) but it goes on funny, and only comes smooth with a lot of brushing out.

Should I add water and stir for ages, or is it ruined?

Thanks very much.

Most tips can't take it - got no licence.

The tip told me to take it home and put it in the wheely bin (landfill).

consult your local authority.

Mine has various tanks at the main tip, one is for old engine oil, one for paint.

Lucky me :)

"Some types of hazardous waste can be recycled such as some batteries and oil.

Other products such as cooking oil, bleach, oven cleaners, disinfectants, pesticides and paint can be taken to the Community recycling centres at Martyr's Lane Tel. 01483 721119, Woking and Slyfield, Moorfield Road, Guildford Tel. 01483 532187. Up to six sheets of asbestos from corrugated roofs can be taken to Slyfield."
