Paint for kerbstones

My commercial premises have a small car park with pavement. In the dark, the concrere kerbs are not easy to see, although there is nearby streetlighting. It has been suggested we paint them white.

Would masonry paint do?

Wouldnt last long ,Use the proper stuff, it could affect your public liability insurance if someone has an accident.

Recently there was a copper threatening to sue a garage owner because they were called to a break in and they fell over an unmarked kerb stone in the dark

You need better lighting. If you acknowledge that the kerbs are dangerous by painting them, and do nothing by not illuminating them, then you are liable should someone fall.

The car park is illuminated during business hours. Some customers are elderly.

Then it should be secured after it closes.

the person who locks up and turns the lights off walks through the carpark.

Some of the elderly people do not see well even in daylight. They may be doddery.
