The car forum will suffice as there isn't one for motorbikes but someone might be able to help.

I have a motorbike that I want to add some paint protection film to. This will be on the tank to cover areas where my clothing will catch. The idea is to protect the paint and stop scratches, so it has to be up to the job. Not sure normal pdf will be good enough.

Thank you

Would be better to visit a recommended company who carries it out really as they will advise best on its durability etc.

Go for a ceramic coating, easy to apply diy. Just give it a good wash, dry leave overnight then apply. Follow the instructions to the letter. Had it on my black car and scratches, whirls and weals didn't show at all.

You can buy ready-cut patches to stick where your belly rubs the zip of your jacket against the tank. Thicker and more resilient than vinyl wrap

Black, clear, colours, fake carbon fibre, rubber, pictures, flags etc.

Lots of ready made tank protectors, far more effective than any coating.
