Paint reccomendation for new plaster.

I recently replastered my kitchen, I suppose I should get around to painting it now but want some advice on paints to use.

We are undecided on the wall colours at the moments, but would like to primer them in some way first.

Likewise with the ceiling, do they do a one coat straight to plaster paint?

Had loads of plastering done last year and use 1 coat of Trade Paint for New plaster then a colour 2/3 coats of emulsion, I don't think you'll get away with 1 coat.
