I need to remove some cracking paint (sun damaged) from a large outside shed. It's all on wood panels.
Is there a disc for a grinder that can do this or will that remove the wood also?
I've tried belt sanders in the past but have not had much luck with them.
The wood panels have a slight curve, which might measure this difficult for any sander.
What about a paint remover tool?

I guess the important thing is what you want to do with it afterwards

Wire brush discs will be too harsh for wood, they are ok on stone sills and some brickwork.

Have you though about trying a jet washer, it will take the majority of loose point off, then spot prime?

Failing that and if you really need to egg back to wood everywhere it's likely to be a hot air gun and scraper.

I wondered about a jet wash too, I've used mine to clean decking ok.

Just don't get too close as it will splinter the wood.
