Paint Runs

Was rushing the painting (late for the tee), came home spotted paint runs. Many years ago similar problem, (I will never learn I know) used wet & dry (wet) done the job ok but messy. How do the professionals tackle this prob or dont they ever get runs.

Easy, they don't rush, they paint much slower and less paint than us !
 
Strange how I was expecting that type of reply.
I did put my hand up & say I *!!!* up.
What I was after was the remedy, ie A professional who said something along the lines of 'oh dear sorry to hear of your problem, but what you can do is...' :!:

this has happened to me (woe to those who let the mrs loose with a paint brush).

luckily i spotted the runs on the skirting board (mainly by the paint on the carpet :eek: ) before they had completely dried so i went over the runs with white spirit to thin the paint and wiped any excess paint off the brush with a cloth - it did mean that they needed another coat but it got rid of the majority of the runs...

the only other thing i can think off is to sand down those areas with the build up and re-touch....

in the end i learnt two things.... the Mrs is cr*p at painting and if you take your time you don't waste it later when trying to correct mistakes.
