We have had all of our walls skimmed and are looking to apply a couple of 'mist coats. I here the most popular is 70/30, so am thinking of doing that and have been given 10l of dulux white Matt emulsion so thought that may be a good place to start, however, the tin says do not mix, is this true in all cases or just when you're actually trying to achieve brilliant white walls.

Any advice/experiences would ne appreciat3s? Also, advice on mixing?

It is more important to use contract non-vinyl matt rather than paint with vinyl in it, for mist-coating.

I would be inclined to mix it too, but would be interested to know why it says not to. There is usually a reason for these things. Why not ring the Dulux helpline (on the inside of the tub?)
