Painting Acrylic Matt over Vinyl Silk.....update

Hi all,
Time has come to refresh paint.

The walls are Vinyl Silk and I would like Acrylic Matt for the future.

I remember old advice to paint over the Vinyl with ZINSSER 123, before Acrylic. Is still the case?

Is there a cheaper option than Zinsser, nowadays? I don't want to sand, if possible as the floors are carpeted.

That's what dustsheets are for.

yes 123 is still the case, no miracle solutions have been invented since then.

Thank You, I was hoping there would be a cheaper option now

Dustsheets are just giant human-flypaper, in my life. I am hoping to get a decent HVLP or airless to do this, if I learnt to tape and shield properly.
