Hi there everyone.

We have just had a wood burning stove fitted. The chimney had been blocked up so they have knocked it all out and re-plastered around the opening. I now need to paint the whole room. My problem is I have this one wall which is part bare plaster and part painted. What is my best option for getting an even colour at the end? I hope the picture helps show what I mean.

Thanks

Dave

Thin down first coat of emulsion heavily with water ( thin as pi55) for the new plaster it will soak in and give the next coat a proper key. I think you'l end up having to paint the whole wall so not to see a difference between old and new.
