Hi,

I want to paint three walls off white and the fourth a stronger colour, but I'm wondering how easy it is to do that.

As I've lined all the walls with lining paper, the corners no longer have a sharp angle, making it a little more difficult to cut in with an angle brush. I'm trying to avoid using tape in the corners in case it causes some damage while removing and paint gets underneath it. In this instance what's the best and safest way to cut in?

How can I avoid tiny splashes of dark paint thrown onto the lighter paint from the roller?

Many thanks for your advice.

Frog tape. Admittedly I have not used it on papered walls, but it works a treat where I have done the same on walls. I have had no problem with it pulling paint - need to make sure the painted surface has had time to cure.

I try to cut in by hand wherever I can - I get a sense of satisfaction from a clean edge - but I have the same problem with some corners having a bit of a concave finish to the plasterwork. I could never get a decent edge on these and the viewing angle could make difference! I found that using tape gave a perfectly straight edge and it doesn't matter where you view it from
