Painting casement with different colour inside to outside.

I'm restoring some Victorian casement windows and have now got to the painting stage after much work on the rotted cills.

The inside will be a different colour to the outside, so can someone confirm which edges have the internal colour and which have the external colour.

I've always assumed that the hinged side of the casement will be the internal colour every other edge will be the external colour. But the external frame where the casement hangs has now caused me to doubt this as it will be the external colour and therefore the hinged side of the casement should be the external colour. Or should this surface of the frame be the same colour as the inside?

Normally windows and doors are painted as such.
Open window,any edges that can be seen outside are painted with external colour,
Inside, any edges seen inside paint with interior colour
