Painting Hearth tiles?

We have decorated a room including sanding, staining and varnishing the floor. The tiles on the floor around the fireplace do not match the rest of the room though and I wondered if I can get some sort of tile paint for this? The tile paints I have seen all seem to be for kitchen tiles and not to be used for floor tiles... Any help would really be appreciated

How close are they to the fireplace ?

They are about 2 feet away right to underneath it but there is only about 6 tiles approx 6" x 6". We won't be using the fireplace though.
