Hello,

We have just finished building a conservatory and would like to paint over the old external wall which is now internal. Is there any way to prepare the surface i.e a sealant first before we paint it? Also what is the best type of paint to use.

We did consider having the wall plastered but we seem to get a lot of condensation as the conservatory has only been completed for 1 week. So think we will just paint it first mainly to make it a bit brighter as we will use white or ivory colour.

Thanks

There will be no need to treat the brick with anything, apart from a good brush down. Thin a first coat down and then apply further coats until it has covered sufficiently.
