Hello Im in the dreaded process of renewing Facia Boards on the front of the building .
Some wood will have to be replaced all will have to be repainted .
I hear Butinox is the way to go so Am I right in saying i should coat the new wood with butinox1 then Butinox 3 ( 2 coats ) then Just Clean and sand the pxainted wood and apply 2 coats of number 3 .
The painted wood is deep red and the colour i wnat to go over it is green
Will this be ok ?
Thanks

Jim

Sorry I have never heard of the product...any other takers?

Thats correct, only problem is Butinox 3 has very ltd colours.
Jotun also make Demidekk Optimal, this has an even better life expectancy than Butinox, is slightly more expensive, about £60 for 3ltrs, but is avaliable in a much wider range of colours. Requires priming with 'Visor', both avaliable from Dulux dec centres, has to be ordered in by Dulux though.

Thanks for that .
Seems I have ordered butinox 2 ?...
mmm Can i just use this with a primer first or what happens if i just put on 2 or 3 coats of 2?....everyone i speaks to seems to have different answers
Clueless jim

Sorry Jim I have never used No2. I'm thinking No 2 is for soft woods and is semi transparent, not 100% though.
