I bought some white wood skirting board and architrave, befofe i fit it i have give it a coat of Zinsser bulls eye 123, am i better to fit it fill in all the nail holes chalk the top of the skirting board when all is dry apply a coat of undercoat followed by a coat of gloss?

Sounds just about spot on, although, while Bulls-eye primes just about everything, BIN is better for knotty wood.

Give it a light sanding with 180 or 240 grit sandpaper between each coat to get the smoothest finish, making sure you wipe off the dust with a damp cloth each time.
