Painting on alloy

Hi all, have a problem with a garage up and over door, it's made of an alloy as most of them are so I'm told. There is some flaking back to metal my question is, what is the best paint to put onto the bare alloy to stop this happening again. Thanks for your time.

A coat of zinc phosphate primer first

Hi sorry for delay problem with computer but thanks for your reply much appreciated.

No problem, hope it works..give it a wipe over with white spirit first in case theres any grease or oil on it
