hi, just a quick question.

i have some cheap b&q value silk emulsion.

would it be ok to use mixed 4/1 with water for priming the plaster.


i then intend to use dulux emulsion for the final coats.

just wondered if it ok to mix different paints.

I think it's ok if the Dulux is silk, not matt. I recall hearing this from another thread, but not sure if it's 100% true so I'd wait until someone can confirm this.
 
Thats fine mate. mix with water 4-1 or 5-1 with water so it soaks in nice, stick another coat on if need then ready for painting
 
Silk as a primer :eek: ...the correct emulsion is without any vinyl at all in it :confused: .just ask Zampa on the dec. forum
