Hello.
Decorated main bedroom and wisely thought - new windows next month, will leave painting the wall around the window until the new windows are fitted.
All went well.
However, the paint will not adhere to the filler used around the window!!
I have tried removing excess filler but am afraid it will end up a mess.

Anyone with any solutions out there?
Thanks

Thanks,
Do you mean to go over the filler the glaziers used with the dec caulk?

A 'quick fix' Prime over the silicone bead with some white solvent based undercoat thinned with white spirit. Then emulsion over when completely dry. This will stop the water based paint cessing off. This is only a quick fix as no paint will bond permanantly to silicone , have found u/c will hold on ok but it wont stand up to hard scrubbing when you clean window frames. Its a pity these fitters dont take the trouble to switch over to decorators caulk on interior profiles..
good luck
