Just started painting fascias board and soffits but thunder bugs are causing havoc to the finished surface. These tiny little black insects about 1.5mm long stick to the undercoat and gloss in mass!

Please can anyone tell me how to avoid or minimalist the thunder bugs from touching the paint? Is they a preferred time to paint outside then these bugs are about? There is no sign of a storm coming where we live but plenty of these b***ers about! Many thanks for any suggestions!

I guess if you put a sign up: WET PAINT DON'T TOUCH they will still do it, happens every time I paint and those bugs claim to be human.

Hope someone has an idea.

I just leave em... maybe dust the buggers off next day when paints dry....On a o/s job I had just finished the bloke phoned me to tell me flies had landed on my exterior painting. But not to worry they had removed said flies.. But! when am i going to come and repaint the smudged paintwork ??

Best thing is to leave them and wipe them off with a damp cloth when the paint is dry.
