Hi,

I have had to patch a bit of a wall with bonding. is it ok to sand down the bonding smoothish & then paint it as close a match to rest of wall as poss.
(appreciate this won't look great but rough & ready in this instance is ok).

if so, would it be a case of an undercoat followed by a top coat?

just wondering if anyone had any thoughts?

It will look crap as its only mean to be a backing substrate.

You can paint it but It is very absorbent and will suck.
I would give it a lick of contract matt watered down 50/50 then a few coats at 70/30 then finish with a 90/10 coat.

Cant you finish it off with some smoother filler before painting it ? As planemad says you can paint it no problem but it wont look great.
