What are my options for this. The finish required is eggshell/satin. Is there any prep work to do on the doors to allow the paint to adhere. Thanks

Eggshell/satin paint or varnish?..are you talking pre factory finished Limed oak?

yes Zampa - factory finished limed oak(as customer buys the units). Sorry, I meant paint - not varnish. What exactly is the limewash?

Sorry I meant limed Oak..

You'll need to give em a good wash down then a rub down, use wet an dry paper, its softer and gets into all the moulded bits 360 grade should do

Then a coat of Dulux super grip primer or Zinseer

Thanks for help Zampa. I assume there are reasons to use the special primer? Would dulux trade quick drying primer / undercoat not be up to it ? Obviously not questioning your knowledge here - just curious !!

Not really..primers like that are designed for absorbent surfaces mostly

Melamine primer is another one you might want to try.
