We are considering buying a used mobile home that has that "typical" wallboard finish. We are planning on removing the strips that are use to join one wallboard to another and "mud" that in.

My question about that wallboard which I believe is something other than wallpaper that is molded to the wallboard for the finish.

Can that wallboard be prepped with primer then painted? Or, is something else needed to be done.

TIA

I would think you can use your very own Zinsser Bin on it Stan

You might have problems with the joints though if you take those strips away...thats what they are they for to cope with expansion and contraction of the walls...especially over there.
