First time poster and DIY newbie here. I recently inherited my late mother's house which I am trying to get into shape after decades of neglect.
Yesterday I pulled up the hallway carpet, to reveal beautiful dark wood floorboards beneath. However someone has painted several white squares onto the floorboards. It looks very odd.
I'd like to paint/stain the white parts to match the dark brown colour, what's the best product for this? Paint, or some kind of wood stain? Thank you very much for any advice.
