Hello

I've just had a room entirely replastered. The plaster has now been left two weeks to dry fully.

I have a couple of questions.

Firstly what is the process of painting the bare wall now?

Secondly do you have any recommendations for good paint for this job?

Thanks in advance

All you need to do is apply a mistcoat to seal the skim, as for paint Dulux Trade Supermatt thinned 30% would be ok.

We had all the walls plastered in own flat what we've done is:

50/50 Water/Matt Emulsion (use a brush not a roller if you want to stay dry)

then another coat...
30/70 Water/Matt Emulsion (use a roller to get a better finish & will be quicker, might get a little messy)

Start the top coats!

I have done this a few times. Watered down Dulux Supermatt, as TheDec says, is ideal. It's not vinyl though, so will wash off if you rub it with a wet cloth. So, will need overpainting with your choice of paint.
