Painting Tiles anyone got any pics of what they look like

As subject suggests i was wondering as a temporary quick fix how ok to tiles look when they are painted?

We have just moved into a new house and finances are tight to say the least and was wondering as an interim before i get around to re-vamping the bathroom can i paint the tiles and if so how good/naf does it look?

Another question for the future the bathroom currently has one layer of tiles going half way up wall in most areas and fully around shower/bath. I know i can over tiles this rather than removing but what do i do about the increase thickness around tile/wall transition, are there some double thickness edge tiles that can cover this up, or worse still what can i do if i want to tile to the ceiling everywhere as i would have two levels?

My daughter painted her tiles, for the same reason, they look ok, but I dont know how it would wear & if you could just overpaint. If you intend replacing when finance permits, then paint them.

The danger is if i paint them, will i have to remove paint in order for the new tiles to be able to bond?

you will have to remove the tiles or make the painted finish fit for tiles on top , removing paint
