Hello,

I'm looking to install 2 x EWT Electroic Panel Heaters rated at 2kW each. They use 4 core cables, namel E, N, L and pilot.

They are not fitted with a plug. I was intending to properly isolate the pilot wire as I don't intend to use an external thermostat and fit a 13 amp plug, operating them via a timer.

They are to be fitted in a conservatory using professinally fitted sockets supplied from a modern consumer unit.

I can't foresee any reason why this can't be done but I thought I would check first; better safe than sorry.

Many thanks.

as long as you don't use the same double socket to run them, and use a suitably rated timer then i don't see any reason not to..

there is the issue of a spare wire floating in the plug.
