The back garden does have a drive and direct access to the road, 1755251372821.png1755251400518.png even Google Maps have clearly come down to the rear of my house, they have taken the pictures shown, but there is no real reason for anyone other than friends and family to go to rear garden, deliveries we expect to use front doors. Specially as often hard to turn a vehicle around, unless I have left room.

But we have had two parcels, not for us, one outside the flat door, which is under the main house, and one in the shed which is in front of the old car seen in the picture, and since not for us, no telephone alerts that they had been left, one sat there for 2 weeks before the gardeners found it.

I cut off the hinge for the gate after it ripped the car tyre while turning around. Now using a smaller car, suppose they could go back, but people would simply open them, so can't see them helping. It is a long run to wire a PIR, and one would want it to log being triggered, and only trigger when someone or their vehicle is at the bottom of the garden, nothing worth stealing, so not really worried about intruders, just want to know someone has visited, so we can find items left faster.

Considering something like this 1755252439335.pngunder the eves of the shed, so not in direct rain, connected wireless to the house, and maybe also switch on a bulkhead light on the shed, but used around 20 meters of SWA to connect shed to house, so will the wireless reach?

Looking at Tapo as already have the hub.

Great. Now we know where you live.
Not really a gardening question though is it?
Consider asking in the electrical, security or AV page of the forum.

I did wonder where to post, not really security either, as not parcels for me being left in the garden, they are for others. There are that many trip hazards, and walls to walk over, with drops the other side, I am sure any nighttime intruder will have a problem, removing the PIR activated lights has increased security, only the standard visitor's route is lit. And only when expecting visitors.

Don't really want to return to PIR lights, cats, squirrels, and foxes set them off, it was like having some high-powered Christmas lights.

I note the local Facebook page often has pictures of door steps on it, showing someone's parcel which has been left at the wrong address, I do question people taking unsolicited photos when on my property, from the road OK, but once anyone steps onto my land they should ask permission.
