Parking Sensors on Skoda Octavia Estate

I've got parking sensors, and for some maddening reason they fit from behind, rather than fitting into the bumper from the front.

This means that some gobshoite gets his kicks by pushing them into the bumper.

Does anyone have any tips to refit them without any dismantling? Without tools, I cannot get my mitts behind the bumper at all.
