This will wrack your brains. I have a friend who is getting on a bit and has had the above cooker for quite some time. The igniter is no longer working. Stopped a couple of weeks ago. I saw a manual on line somewhere but can't find it again. It showed how to replace the battery (I know, I know, silly but I didn't ever realise there was one) but according to my friend the diagram did not seem the same as his cooker (I haven't seen the cooker in question).

Does anyone have any ideas how the battery can be replaced. I believe it is an R20 battery.

I think the batteries are either at the bottom behind a cover that runs the width of the cooker & secured with 2 thumb screws or at the back of the clock( if it has one)
