Couple of questions...

As per suggestions I will leave an expansion gap around the sides and use moulding to cover. But what do I do in the doorways with tricky architrave - I will use a handsaw and cut underneat so the the parquet slides underneath it - that can happily accomodate the expansion gap - but what about the moulding and arhitrave - that'd just look silly as it's so curvaceous...

Also, is there a definitive post on laying the initial line down the middle of the floor and marking out where you do your first line of parquet, I am doing a hall with a wiggle which then goes into a kitchen so this is pretty crucial... I have read suggestions saying you should start from a wall - I plan to do a 2 block tramline so guess this isn't appropriate

Thanks in advance!!!
