Passenger car seat adjustment

The lever that moves the passenger seat back & forth isn't working, moves up & down but doesn't move the seat

You ought to mention the make and model.

When did it last work?

Have you looked under the seat to see if the channel is blocked with coins or other detritus?

Does the lever feel loose and floppy, like it's not attached to anything any more, or does it feel the way it normally feels, but the seat doesn't move?
